We are very proud of  Fourways Alumna Neo Kele for her outstanding achievement at the recent Naledi Awards! Neo won “Best Performance by a Student in a Student Production” for her role in last year’s Major Production of Sister Act.

Here’s an excerpt from her heartfelt acceptance speech:

“I’m honestly so humbled just to be standing here as a nominee. I want to start by saying a huge thank you to Mrs. Borrill-Fombe and Mr. Clayton and the rest of Fourways High School. You didn’t just see potential in me—you believed in it, and you helped me grow into it. Your support has truly meant the world.

Being part of the arts has changed my life in ways I can’t fully put into words. It’s taught me to express myself, to work hard, to be bold—and this nomination feels like a celebration of all that.

To my parents—thank you for always being in my corner, cheering me on through every late rehearsal and early morning. And to the amazing cast and crew of Sister Act—what a ride! Sharing the stage with you was one of the best experiences of my life. Every laugh, every backstage moment—it’s something I’ll always carry with me.

I’m just really grateful to be part of a community that values the arts, that lifts each other up, and that reminds us all of the magic we can create when we come together.”

We are incredibly proud of Neo’s accomplishments and wish her all the best in her future endeavours!

Derby Day Success: A Community United for a Cause!

The recent derby between Bryanston High and Fourways High was a resounding success, both on and off the field! The day-evening format proved highly popular, drawing a record number of supporters from both school communities who came out to cheer on their teams and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Beyond the spirited competition, the derby was also a platform for something truly special: the “Rivals Unite” campaign, which successfully raised funds for the Smile Foundation. This initiative saw both schools set aside their friendly rivalry to support a worthy cause, demonstrating the power of community when working together.

The energy throughout the day was palpable, from the thrilling matches across various sporting codes to the enthusiastic support from the sidelines. It was inspiring to witness the healthy competition between our schools coupled with the shared commitment to making a difference.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and attended, especially those who contributed to the “Rivals Unite” campaign. Your generosity will help the Smile Foundation continue its vital work in transforming the lives of children in need.

This derby showcased the best of school spirit and community engagement. We look forward to future events that bring our schools together for exciting competition and meaningful impact!
