Overview

Our institution is seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and dynamic Senior Mathematics Educator to join our Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a high-performance learning environment, guiding students through the rigors of the Senior and FET phases, and preparing them for the National Senior Certificate.

Core Responsibilities

  • Instructional Excellence: Plan and deliver engaging activities that facilitate an active learning experience; develop comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans.
  • Objective-Led Learning: Establish clear objectives for all activities and use varied instructional methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Monitor student progress, use relevant technology to support instruction, and provide regular, constructive feedback.
  • School Stewardship: Fulfil Class Tutor responsibilities and participate in departmental, school, and parent meetings.
  • Holistic Contribution: Active participation in the school’s Extra and Co-curricular programs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a high standard of discipline and a productive learning atmosphere.
Educational Requirements
To be considered for this post, your CV and supporting documentation must clearly reflect:
  • Academic Qualifications: A relevant degree and teaching qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Registration: Active SACE registration with a permanent SACE number.
  • Proven Expertise: A minimum of 5 (five) years FET teaching experience, with a specific track record of teaching Mathematics to Matric (Grade 12).
  • The Edge: Experience in teaching Advanced Programme (AP) Mathematics is considered a significant advantage.
  • Additional: Relevant experience in matric marking and examination setting would be advantageous.
