Message from the Principal
Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
Welcome to the first newsletter of 2025! As we embark on this new academic year, I extend a warm welcome to all our returning and new families. This year promises to be one of growth, achievement, and community spirit, and I am excited to see what we will accomplish together.
We begin the year with immense pride in the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2024. Their hard work and dedication have once again set a high standard for excellence, and their results are a testament to their commitment and the unwavering support of their teachers and families. Well done to all!
A special mention must be made of Mazelle Swanepoel, who was recognized as the top Afrikaans First Additional Language student in the entire Johannesburg North District. This remarkable achievement was celebrated at the District Awards Ceremony, held at our school on Friday, 7 February. Mazelle’s dedication to her studies is an inspiration to us all, and we are incredibly proud of her.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the parents who are keeping up with their financial obligations. Your contributions are vital in enabling us to maintain our exceptional staff and facilities, which are central to providing a high-quality education for your children.
To our students, I commend you for your early involvement in extracurricular activities. Your enthusiasm and commitment are commendable, and I encourage you to stay dedicated throughout the year. These activities are not only a chance to develop new skills but also an opportunity to build friendships and create lasting memories.
As we settle into the year, I remind all parents and students of the importance of always upholding our school’s code of conduct. This includes adhering to the appearance code, whether on school grounds or in public places after school. Our standards reflect our values, and we take pride in maintaining them.
Additionally, I extend my gratitude to the parents who are making every effort to ensure their children arrive at school on time. Punctuality is a vital life skill, and we kindly remind everyone that late arrivals without a valid excuse will not be tolerated.
Finally, I would like to remind students that those not participating in an extracurricular activity must go home immediately after school.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school community. Let us work together to make 2025 a year of excellence, integrity, and shared success.
Warm regards,
Andrew Holliday
