Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport that is growing in popularity in South Africa. Each team consists of 6 players a side and both teams try to score points by grounding the ball on the opposing team’s court.
This sport is offered to female learners at Fourways High school. Volleyball teaches the players leadership skills, commitment, confidence and team spirit.
Fourways Volleyball participates in the Goliath Cup league and hosts our own annual tournament each year.
Practice, match days & times:
Practices take place twice a week for 2 hours, with a matches occurring regularly.

2022 Achievements
- In 2022, the first team volleyball ladies placed 1st in term 1 for the Goliath cup. They also travelled to Mafikeng in term 3 to compete with schools from all over the country as well as international Zimbabwean schools, where they placed 2nd.
- Katlego Mtembu, Zolwandle Mathe and Amarachi Ekeke qualified for the provincial team and played during the June/July school holidays in Limpopo.
