From the Principal's Desk
Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,
I wish to express my sincere gratitude and pride for the overwhelming enthusiasm and participation of our students in extra-mural activities this term. The dedication and commitment shown by our learners to explore their talents and passions beyond the classroom is truly inspiring.
Their involvement in these activities not only contributes significantly to our school’s overall success but also enriches their school experience, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. We believe that a well-rounded education includes opportunities for students to discover their strengths and interests, and we are proud to offer a diverse range of extra-mural programs to support this.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those parents who have been diligent in keeping their school fees up to date. Your timely payments are essential for the smooth running of our school. These funds enable us to maintain our excellent facilities, employ qualified staff, and provide a rich learning environment for all our students. Your support is invaluable.
While we celebrate our students’ achievements, I would like to reiterate the importance of punctuality. As previously communicated, late coming remains a concern. We kindly request that you ensure your child arrives at school in time to be in class by 07:30. Habitual lateness will be addressed accordingly. A letter outlining our stance on this matter is available at this link and we urge you to familiarise yourself with its contents.
Finally, I wish to commend those parents who are actively supporting our school’s appearance and dress code policy. Your cooperation in this regard helps to create a positive and disciplined environment where learning happens best.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Afrikaans Alligretto Eisteddfod
On April 19th, 22 of our students proudly represented Fourways High at the Afrikaans Alligretto Eisteddfod. Their exceptional talent led to five students being selected for the Inter Provincial Gala on June 1st.

Sports
Volleyball
Our 1st and 2nd volleyball teams competed in the annual Mahikeng Volleyball Tournament at the start of August. For many players, it was their first experience in this event, providing valuable learning opportunities. The 2nd teams and the boys’ 1st team reached the plate quarters, while the girls’ 1st team advanced to the plate semi-finals.
We are extremely proud of the teams and individual players for their effort, standout moments, and exemplary behaviour on and off the court. You all represented Fourways High with great distinction and set a high standard for fellow students.
A big thank you to the coaches and everyone behind the scenes who made this tournament possible. Your dedication to the school and its students is greatly appreciated.
A big thank you to Jafra Java and Intertex clothing for their generous sponsorship, which greatly supported our players.
